I'm not feeling the best today, I woke up with that inner ear thing - dizziness.  It must have been coming on for a while because I've felt nauseous on and off for a few days.  Even my newly opened can of coffee smelled bad to me.   You know I'm sick when I don't like my coffee. This particular brand that I've just opened is Mother Parkers.   I used to love Co-Op Gold, but it appears they're no longer selling it, at least not here in Weymouth. A few months ago, I bought McCafe coffee (made by McDonalds), just a smaller bag, as its' pricey. I used the last of it yesterday, I have to say I really like it. Anyway, it was finished yesterday, so I opened up a Mother Parkers can that I had on hand and brewed it.  I'm not enjoying it as much as I usually do, but maybe that's because I'm not feeling all that hot. Yes folks, the official first day of spring.  Allow me to show you some not so spring like pictures: And here are some more: This is just some of the snow build up here in Weymouth.  My place and Mom's.  In the one picture she's out feeding the crows.  They start in cawing when she goes outside...like she's their mother.   I put out food for them yesterday myself.  As payment, one of them shit on the car window, LOL. Although at most of my place, the snow is piled up, there has to be quite a bit for it to go up that high. And beside my yellow building, that hasn't been touched by a plow.  Nor as the area by Mom's window and front porch door . SL

I think I'm getting the hang of it now.  I have several piles here in my house, each going its separate way. I have a grouping for Ameretta.  That has many things in it so far, and I think that's the end.  A King size sheet, pillow cases, 6 meters of fabric that I know I won't use, a smaller swatch that I don't like,  a huge cake/cupcake transporting pan, cookbooks, dolls, picture frame, and assorted other stuff I can't even remember now.   I have a bag of pictures for my friend in Japan: when I go to Sudbury, it will be left  (with Geesohns) till she gets back.  I have a series started for Ashmore church.  Among these things, one of them, is a large white wicker container, with faux ferns growing out of it.  I think it would be nice for JR.  He has few decorative items in his home.  It sits on the floor.  I wonder if and when I'll get it to him. When your'e stuck inside the house, it's a good time to go through stuff.   I went through a bunch of old pictures that I bought off ebay. Must have bought them years ago.  I put some pictures on Facebook, a whole bag of them for free.    Man, I wish I didn't get carried away outside of my mind about this stuff.   I have one friend who wants them, but she's in Japan now, and I'm not shipping them over there.  I can drop it off to her relatives in Kanata or Sudbury for her, but that's about it.  I also plan on asking Joanna Jarvis if she'd like some of them, for her story telling nights at the library. And fear not, I still have a whole box left that I will be keeping.  These are pictures with themes like Christmas, Animal trophies, children & women with dolls, stuff like that.  It seemed like a good idea at the time when I bought them, what with my wondrous plans of writing a book about past important events....then I star...

Blizzard conditions, m'arse.  No such thing, at least not so far.  The wind sounded favorable for a while last night, but now, dead silence.  However, I just got a call and church is cancelled.  Must be the fear of rain.  The caller sounded like she had a wicked cold, I think it was Elsie (based on call display).  She croaked out only the words, "Hi Sandra, no church today." I'm halfway through yet another Patricia Cornwell book.  It's called The Bone Bed.  PC is the author whose heroine is named Kay Scarpetta, and she's a coroner.  Anyway, on the back cover they have a picture of the author.  The pictures has been so photo shopped she looks like a porcelain plate.  I find her stories interesting, but they do get into the heroine's life a bit too much for my taste.  I just want to read about investigating the crimes. If you're thinking of watching this movie..prepare to be bored. First of all, like almost all of these films, so much of it is filmed in the dark.  I suppose it's supposed to add to the horror, but I just found it annoying. The movie was set in the time frame of the early 60s or thereabouts. Shades of Rosemary's baby, but without good acting, a good script, or anything really.  Then throw in Chucky, but as a doll in a white dress.  Then film most of it in the dark.  A recipe for disaster. Character development?  None.  I hated the beleaguered couple almost right away.  She was pregnant (of course, that's so much more scary, what with the innocent child, helpless woman bit), and pouted a bit at her husband early on.  He was studying to be a doctor, and she thought he wasn't concerned about her or the baby.  To help her get over her mood, he gave her a large doll, something he'd had for quite a while.
